Ciclo is a lounge chair that prioritises repair and personalisation.

Its inspiration comes from the embroidery hoop technique, where a piece of fabric is stretched between two wooden hoops.

This simple construction has led to an alternative upholstery technique, where a flat piece of fabric is stretched over a layer of comfort foam without glueing or stapling them together.

This maintains seating comfort, while the upholstery is easily replaceable and washable. All parts of the chair can be disassembled.

If something breaks, you only replace the part, not the entire piece.
Furthermore, the chair can be delivered flat-packed, making transport and storage much more efficient. Another important principle of this design is personalisation by the end user. 

The interchangeable upholstery allows you to customise the chair to your own needs or preferences without having to purchase a completely new piece of furniture.
